Remarkable Women

We meet monthly on the fourth Monday of the month from February to November at 1 pm. 

There are so many remarkable women, both in New Zealand and elsewhere, whose lives have advanced our global society and inspired each of us.  These women can be world famous, trail blazers, a family member or someone whose life is hidden from view.   Looking back at the list of women who have been presented to our Interest Group over the years, their diversity is itself remarkable.    Our primary focus is to learn about these inspiring women and tell their stories.    Each presenter has her own ideas about the style of presentation she prefers.  Most like to deliver their research in the form of a talk calling on their own notes.  Photos always add interest.  Some like to use the available technology.  Once or twice a year we have a tapestry session where we agree in advance on a candidate and we each research some aspect of her life that we share and discuss.   Our November gathering is intended to be light-hearted with a hint of the Christmas season on the horizon.
